Oper8 Self Service App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Oper8 Software Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Oper8 Self Service mobile application (the “App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information responsibly.

  • Account Information: When you create an account or use certain features, we may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, and company name.
  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including the features you access, the actions you take, and the time and duration of your activity. This may include the types of requests submitted, the resources accessed and error logs.
  • Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access the App, including the device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, and mobile network information.   
  • Location Information With your permission, we may collect your device’s location information to identify assets within your locality, assisting you to report issues and also track your assets in real-time.  You can control the collection of your location information through your device settings.
  • Other Data: We may collect photos from your device when you are reporting issues to allow comprehensive reporting for support desks to work on your issues.

2. How We Use Your Information:

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Provide and Improve the App: We use your information to operate, maintain, and improve the App, personalize your experience, and provide customer support.
  • Account Management: We use your information to manage your account, communicate with you about the App, and send you important notifications.
  • Specific Purpose: Your information submitted when reporting issues allows your contractor to identify you, your asset/s, issue/s and work with your reported issue to deploy resources to fix any problem reported.
  • Legal Compliance: We may use your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

3. How We Share Your Information:

We may share your information with the following third parties:

  • Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist you in resolving your reported issues. These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.   
  • Legal Authorities: We may disclose your information to legal authorities if required by law or legal process.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

You may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information.

The App is not intended for children.  We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child under this age has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy in the App. Your continued use of the App following the posting of such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
